EDUCATIONAL EXCELLENCE
Our Chapter began awarding the Roberta George Memorial Teaching Scholarship in 2001. Our chapter budgets to award one $600.00 scholarship annually.
In 2015, our chapter created the Beta Upsilon Scholarship for graduating high school seniors interested in pursuing education. We will award one scholarship annually but the amount will vary, subject to available funds.
We purpose to support individuals completing their student teaching/internship/practicum/etc. term of their educator preparation program and support prospective future educators.
ALTRUISM
During the 2014-2016 biennium our Chapter will focus our monetary donations and time with the following programs:
WORLD UNDERSTANDING
Our Chapter purposes to contribute to world understanding, goodwill, and peace through an international fellowship of women educators united in the ideals of education. We monetarily support the International World Understanding project, Books on the Move.
Alpha Delta Kappa is an international honorary organization of women educators dedicated to educational excellence, altruism and world understanding.
